Light Up Picton

With thanks to a grant from the Building Better Regions Fund (Round 5), the mature London Plane trees on the southern end of Argyle Street (between Stonequarry Creek and the Menangle Street and Argyle Street intersection) are now illuminated with fairy lights. The switch-on took place at the Illuminate Wollondilly festival on Saturday 16th September, 2023.

Light up Picton helps illuminate and transform the township of Picton, enhance its unique features including heritage and historic buildings and create a sense of pride for its residents and businesses. The Light up Picton project aims to help boost the economy, attract visitors and encourage night time trading, all of which are of great benefit to the community.
